While I’ve always considered long skirts to be a very challenging yet interesting piece of clothing, I’ve never dared to take the plunge. See, the trick with these is that they can easily shrink one’s silhouette if not worn “correctly” – especially if you’re not a tall person.
Then one day, there it was. Hidden among other clothes, a long skirt caught my eye. A long lightweight denim skirt closed by a range of buttons on one side. What can I say. It was love at first sight. I quickly grabbed it to try it on already thinking about the many outfit combinations I could create. Yes, I was hooked and more than that, inspired.
For this outfit, simplicity is the keyword. It’s all about staying casual with a hint of chic. I decided to pair the skirt with a classic white shirt making sure not to button it all the way up in order to avoid looking too strict. As for the shoes, I went for a pair of white sneakers with a wedge heel to give me some height as well as a casual look.
Sometimes you don’t have to think too hard to make an outfit work. Staple pieces are always a good idea when in doubt. Always remember: less is more. Also, you can play with accessories, hairstyle and makeup to give it your own personal touch.
Have fun!
Love,
Hermine

I love how you styled the long skirt! I always go for over the knee or full on maxi but never length, I should give it a try 🙂
