WHAT IS INSIDE THIS PALETTE?

Like mentionned above, this palette is composed of 16 eyeshadows among which 6 matte and 10 shimmery. Just like the name would suggest, the color selection revolves around different shades of browns but also includes a baby pink, a deep purple and a bordeaux. Two pans – White Chocolate and Champagne Truffle – are bigger than the others which comes in to be very convenient since both shadows are neutral and are to be used very frequently to complement any type of makeup look.

DOES IT REALLY SMELL LIKE CHOCOLATE?

Yes it does – right from the moment you open the palette.

ARE THE SHADOWS PIGMENTED?

Yes, they are all very pigmented except for Strawberry Bon Bon and Candied Violet – which is a shame since they are the pink and purple shades supposed to spice up the palette.

IS THE COLOR SELECTION VERSATILE?

Absolutely. This palette allows you to create both natural and more glamed up makeup looks – very practical for travelling. Also, the shadows include a mix of warm and cool toned shades.

FINAL VERDICT?

Overall, this palette definitely earns the hype it got – and still gets. The Chocolate Bar would have been perfect with a taupe and a black eyeshadow added – and if both the pink and purple shadows were pigmented of course. The palette could also be suitable for someone who has only started her/his makeup journey – and if the number of shadows seems a little too much maybe this palette could do the trick.
